Diamond wire saws, 8 inches to nine metres

Diamond wire saws across the full size range, cutting tubulars from 8 to 155 inches through steel and through concrete-filled members, above and below the waterline. Where the cut is awkward, the saw is fitted with an interface frame built to position it precisely at the cut location and clamp on for stability.

Seven core saws, one supplier, one set of certification and test records. Narrow the fleet against your cut with the cut selector.

DWS0814 diamond wire saw

DWS0814

08″ to 14″ cut

Small enough and light enough to be ROV deployable and operable.

Ideal for chains, umbilicals, and risers.

Datasheet
DWS1127 diamond wire saw

DWS1127

11″ to 27″ cut

Ultra-compact design fitted with integrated buoyancy for ROV flying and positioning.

Ideal for cutting flexibles in confined spaces.

Datasheet
DWS1230 diamond wire saw

DWS1230

12″ to 30″ cut

Can be neutrally buoyant for ROV positioning and deployed in a specially designed subsea basket.

Ideal for cutting flexibles in confined spaces.

Datasheet
DWS3056 diamond wire saw

DWS3056

30″ to 56″ cut

Part of ROV-flyable caisson cutting and removal system, with clamps on request.

Ideal for larger pipelines, caissons, and jackets.

Datasheet
DWS80 diamond wire saw

DWS80

80″ maximum cut

Unique clamping system holds the saw at the cut point with no additional support. Can be removed and reattached to continue cutting.

Ideal for transport via road or internationally.

Datasheet
DWS155 diamond wire saw

DWS155

155″ maximum cut

The DWS80 but with extension pieces and a clamping system for large items.

Ideal for large structures, RTMs, DTMs and suction piles.

Datasheet
DWS9000 diamond wire saw

DWS9000

9 metre cut, built to order

A spread at this scale is built for the cut rather than held in the yard. Arrangements like it are put together for cuts that are large, complex or constrained.

Ideal for large structures, RTMs, DTMs and suction piles.

What have you got to cut?

The end of a flexible flowline cut by a conventional shear, crushed flat into a lens shape with the bore closed
Fig. 01Cut by a conventional shear. The end is crushed flat and the bore is closed, so the line cannot drain on recovery and cannot be re-entered.
The end of the same flexible flowline cut by the open bore shear, with the bore open and round
Fig. 02The same test piece cut by the open bore shear. The bore is open and round, so the line can still be drained, inspected or re-entered.

Open Bore Shear, the bore left open

A conventional shear flattens the pipe end. The line then will not drain during recovery and the bore cannot be re-entered. The open bore shear leaves the bore open and round, on flexibles, on thick-walled rigid pipe and on thin-walled rigid pipe prone to collapse, so the line can still be drained, inspected or re-entered after cutting.

It is a recent development rather than a long-standing product, and we are happy to discuss qualification status for a specific application.

Recovery and Lifting, sized to the load

Bespoke lifting and recovery devices developed for decommissioning and recovery scopes, sized to the basket and the deck the load has to come back to.

  • Saws with integral lifting devices, so the cut section is captured rather than dropped
  • Grapples, standard and purpose-designed
  • Clamps
  • Drill and pin tools, topside and subsea
  • Coupon catching and ejecting systems
  • Basket-mounted deployment frames and subsea baskets

Hot Stabs, generic or bespoke

Hydraulic hot stabs held in generic and bespoke configurations, for delivering ROV hydraulic power and fluid into subsea equipment. Where a receptacle is non-standard, or a tool was never designed to be driven by an ROV, the stab is made to suit it.

That bespoke work led to ZeroStab, our additively manufactured hot stab with close to zero leakage and pressure drop, and a finalist in Western Australia’s Innovators of the Year 2026.

Offshore Support, the rest of the spread

The unglamorous half of a campaign, available for hire or purchase:

  • Hydraulic power units, including electric, diesel and zone-rated
  • Hydraulic control stands and umbilicals
  • Jupiter control systems and high-flow valve packs
  • Torque tools, torque multipliers and torque limiters
  • Subsea drills and wire rope cutters
  • Seal installation and removal tools, cleaning brushes
  • Subsea camera systems
  • Spoolers and reelers, sheaves and chutes
  • Dredges
  • Offshore workshop containers, zone-rated
  • Half-height containers for transportation

The full pool is larger than this. Ask about stock and availability against a specific scope and set of dates.

How it works

Your asset keeps producing. We back the work.

Your job is keeping the asset running. Ours is making sure the equipment behind that work is ready, proven and supported, so the campaign runs to your plan. You decide how much of that support comes with the hire.

Hire The Kit

Your crew knows the scope and needs the hardware against a date. Take the item and get on with it.

Every unit hires with its drawings, certification and test records, and with operational, technical and administrative support behind it, so the people running your asset are not left on their own with an unfamiliar tool.

Hire The Kit And The Crew

Our engineers designed, built and maintain this equipment, so they know how it behaves at the cut. Sending them with it puts the people who know the tool best on deck when it goes in the water.

They work alongside your team, not in place of it. If an item needs adapting for your scope, that work is done in our own workshop, so the tool and the people who know it come from one place.

Know What You Need,
Or Still Scoping It?

Send us the scope, the dates and where it is going. We will tell you what covers it, what the trade-offs are, and where an engineering study to understand the options is warranted.
